I am drawing on music from the likes of Cash, and literature from the likes of Flannery, in hopes of connecting the dots between Southern despondency, pride, and revelry.
It’s a dark place- or at least it was- the South. But it is my home and I am fond of it’s melancholy and bucolic charm.
