Casting Shadows
Creativity is a difficult process- I get that.
Creativity take discipline, and creative displays take vulnerability. (Duh.)
It is indeed one of the highest forms your time can take- to endeavor to create, and then to place your work (your self, your creation) on the mantel for all to see, critique, laud.
And for as high of a form creation is, how low of a form is mimicking? How low of a form is a cheapened shortcut?
We (the concerned audience to creative displays) respect honest efforts, far more than shadowed traces of other peoples work. Or, we care more for a passionate attempt, then, dare I say it, a holistic lack of luster.
So if you aren’t giving your holy and wholly self to the honing, cutting away & rebuilding, of your craft,
if you aren’t adding anything provacative,
or anything innovative,
why share at all ?
You are only twisting your hands through the light, casting shadows on a wall.

A story (ahem, your story) is always a better story when you are a contributor, not just an appreciator.
